The American company Rockstar Games can rightfully be called a real titan of the modern gaming industry. New projects by its authorship inevitably become world hits, and the level of development of open virtual worlds sets such a high quality bar that other developers have to spend decades trying to at least jump to such heights.

Most likely, you know Rockstar Games from its flagship franchise Grand Theft Auto (GTA) – a rare game that even people who have never held a gamepad in their lives have heard about. Each game in this series makes a real revolution in the world of big-budget video games, offering not so much high-quality interactive entertainment as a full-fledged virtual life simulator: a little crazy, very hooligan and filled to the brim with a variety of content.

More than ten years have passed since the last such revolution (GTA V). During this time, gamers have managed to crawl around every corner of the city of Los Santos and are hungry for new impressions.

Now Rockstar has released the first trailer for the new game. It had to be released 12 hours earlier than planned due to the fact that the video “leaked” onto the Internet and spread across various online platforms. The short video confirmed previous rumors that fans of the series will be able to play not only as a male character, but also as a female protagonist for the first time in the franchise’s 25-year history.

When will GTA VI come out

At the end of the video, in just a few hours gathered tens of millions of views, the developers said that the prime minister of the long -awaited game will be held in 2025. Thus, the sixth part of the Grand Theft Auto will be released 12 years after the launch of the previous part – GTA V. At the same time, Rockstar has not yet been called the exact deadlines of the release.

The famous insider Tom Henderson claims that the development of GTA VI may well delay for the well -being of the company’s employees. The fact is that Rockstar has already repeatedly criticized its “tremors” culture – especially hard processing characteristic of the gaming industry. Probably this time the leadership decided to make a game in more gentle conditions, so as not to cause the public anger again

Platforms

According to the same volume of Henderson, the new GTA will only be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. Other insiders have not yet confirmed this information, but most likely it will be true. Almost three years have passed since the new generation of consoles, and GTA VI will go to the potential release and all five years.

It is unlikely that in the middle of the life cycle of new consoles, the developers will want to waste time on the outdated PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which will put a number of serious restrictions on the process of creating the game.

The plot of GTA VI

Unfortunately, there is almost no information about the plot of the new part. It is only known that her events can unfold some time after the events of GTA V. On one of the frames of the leakage, users of social networks saw a reference to the death of Jay Norris, the founder of the social network Lifeinvader (at one time drawn from Mark Zuckerberg), – this character died in GTA V, which means that GTA VI will definitely not be a prequel.

For a long time, the plot, place of action and characters of GTA VI kept secret, but in September 2022 there was a massive leakage of data on the game and over 90 screenshots and videos from the project developed for the project leaked to the network. Representatives of Rockstar confirmed that the leak took place and all the content presented in it. Which allows us to draw some conclusions about filling the game.

Place of action

All insiders unanimously say that the events of GTA VI will unfold in the city of Vice City, the scene of the 2002 release game of the same name. These rumors confirm frames from the same leakage where you can see the metro station with the Vice City Metro logo, as well as the iconic places from GTA: Vice City, for example, the Malibu club, the Ocean-Vue Hotel, the Little Haiti district and the beach Wais City.

Moreover, the players will not be in Weiss City from the 1980s (as it was in GTA: Vice City), but in the modern version of the city, as indicated by images of non-game characters with smartphones, relevant clothes and transport.

It is also expected that the Vais City card will be expanded by new areas. The city version from the 2002 game was based on Miami (USA), and the version from GTA VI can add to it the territorial complex of Everglaids and the Florida-Chis archipelago-other iconic locations of Florida. Thus, zones with different weather conditions and territorial features will appear in the game. In general, it is expected that the GTA VI card will be significantly larger than in GTA V.

Some insiders also say that in the release version of the game of gamers, not the entire card awaits. Allegedly, Weiss City will be replenished with new areas and attractions simultaneously with the release of content updates over the next ten years.

The main characters

The central characters of GTA VI will be a couple of criminals: the young man Jason and Latin American Lucia-she will be the first female protagonist in the entire history of the three-dimensional parts of the GTA. Apparently, the playing system of characters from GTA V will return to the game, that is, gamers will be able to switch between Jason and Lucia at any time. This is indicated by shots from the leak: in one video, the player passes the mission for Jason (and artificial intelligence controls the second hero), then the characters are changing.

The line of heroes will be based on the history of Bonnie and Clyde, famous American robbers who worked during the Great Depression. Like them, Jason and Lucia will rob banks and build their criminal empire. It is also reported that the characters will have a common access to the looted good and earned inventory.

The appearance of the protagonists can already now be evaluated on the renders of the artist Hossein Diba – he used frames from the leak and, based on them, created the super -realistic images of Jason and Lucia.

The difference from previous versions

GTA VI is already positioned as the most ambitious and advanced game from Rockstar Games. So, at least a huge open world, the most modern graphics and many new unique mechanics await us. Insider Chris Clippel claims that the project is created on the Rage9 game engine, which is “ahead of its time”.

Animations of the movement of characters and transport will become smoother, and some small systems (like a weapon wearing system) will be migrated to GTA VI straight from Red Dead Redemption 2, the last hit from Rockstar.

The developers also patented a unique system, which will most likely be used in the game. It is called the “system and method for virtual navigation in the gaming environment” and allows non -game characters to adjust their behavior depending on weather conditions, the situation on the roads and their own skills to drive this or that transport. In other words, this system will make heroes under the control of artificial intelligence more smart and realistic, creating the illusion of a real city with living people.

How much will GTA VI cost

About the prices for the future GTA VI, we can only guess. If the game really comes out in the interval of 2024–2025, then it will most likely apply to the standard price tag to all large AAA projects. That is, $ 70 per game (about 6.7 thousand rubles) – with small differences depending on the purchase region and the game platform used.

However, if the information about the budgets of GTA VI is true (insiders write about the record for the industry of $ 2 billion), then such a price tag can be considered quite gentle.
